About DAVIS FLORAL DESIGNS
Since 1986, Davis Floral Designs and the Davis family have served the DFW Metroplex with exceptional customer service, product knowledge, floral design, and overall love for their customers.
The Davis Floral Design story starts with William “Bill” Davis who in 1986 not knowing anything about the flower business, purchased a florist named, Barbara’s Florist. Not only was Bill excited about fulfilling a desire to own a business, but he was also excited to be learning about a new business and having his family work alongside him. Rewinding to 1979, Mary Davis, Bill’s daughter acquired Barbara’s Florist services for her wedding, not realizing that one day she would own that very florist.

Mary Davis inherited Davis Floral Designs from her father Bill, in 1990 after his passing. Mary, alongside her mother Jerry Davis filled Bill’s shoes by continuing to provide quality, affordable flower arrangements and design services to the community. Mary, Jerry, and their team of designers strived to break the norm, think outside of the box and provide their customers with unique fresh flower designs, silk flower arrangements adorned with deer antler sheds brought back from Colorado, beautiful home décor, and a vast selections of corsage bracelets and boutonniere holders.

For 39 years the Davis Family has been a pillar in the floral community and for 20+ of those years has been a hometown staple of Watauga and Fort Worth Texas. Now the time has come for the next generation of business owner, designer, and new ideas. In April 2025, William A. O’Gorman III, event planner, caterer, cookbook author, and floral designer walked in Davis Floral Designs and asked the question Mary had been waiting to hear. “Would you be interested in selling your business to someone that would like to build upon the legacy you and your family have created?" Prayers were answered for both Mary, who was ready to retire but didn’t want to shut her doors, and William, who had a lifelong dream of owning a florist.

May 1, 2025, ownership and very big shoes to fill, were given over to William. The future and legacy of Davis Floral Designs and the Davis Family is secure for another 39+ years. William has the desire to continue to provide the same exceptional, professional, knowledge, and most importantly love of our customer all over the DFW Metroplex. In addition to Classic/ Traditional, Modern, Trendy, and Unique Floral Designs, Davis Floral Designs will now be able to offer IN-HOUSE full service catering and full service event planning through William’s other business, Peggy Sue’s Restaurant and Catering. Named after his late mother, Peggy Sue.
